Week 9 Review
Week 9 Review

Running at Guilford Military Park is a joy. Just a great vibe and place to run -- all the while surrounded by American Revolutionary History! People running, biking, walking dogs, school field trips. Very dynamic.

This week we logged ~17 miles and benchmarked the mile at 7:40. Meanwhile, Jacob my son hit 5:00 today at a track meet. LOL -- no comparison, but then again I am so very glad I am not 15 years old! The average 5k times we are logging are consistently getting faster.

In terms of lifting, progress seems slow. I will benchmark this week on bench max and deadlift max. But definitely building more muscle while maintaining ~205lb. Consistency is key and this past week has been great to be in town all week.

Spiritually, I seemed lukewarm. I read daily but my prayer efforts were weak. I have been witnessing and started an encouragement text group for 8 adults, but without God's touch on it all, it cannot do much. I need to spend a lot more time in prayer! I buried myself in Galatians and have moved on to Ephesians and loving Warren Wiersbe outline on it - https://a.co/d/dsp6ZCK

Had a great geeky week though. We won $60 in trivia WOB Team Trivia - April 29 and I started AD&D 2E campaign the Shattered Circle last Monday, hosting on Fantasy Grounds https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/. Scheduled to repeat every Monday night at 7p for next 3 weeks. Halfway through the Long Earth book, which is maybe the 6th book of 12 classic SF books to work through.

Family remains a blessing. Even with Grayson's poor decisions on alcohol and vaping, he is working hard and starting to get more confidence and normalcy under his belt. This reset has been critical to allow me to spend time with him, and at odd hours. We are headed for our house in Placencia Belize for the experience front. We love it down in Placencia. https://www.belizeadventure.ca/destinations/placencia/

Last, I did create and look at 100+ drugs for viability in the softgel dose format, using AI as a model to fetch the data and compare against the criteria we set for a good set of phys-chem properties, which included Log P, TPSA, inferred oxygen sensitivity, dose, molecular weight. It did an admirable job getting the data. Of course, whether or not to reformat an existing tablet or capsule into a softgel goes well beyond the physical and chemical compatibilities. Why should one convert? There has to be clear and compelling end-user benefits to strike out on a 505b2 pathway. Often, such benefits are not obvious; once in a while they are. They key thing for the AI part is accuracy and ensuring source material is unassailable. On a more manual methodology, I compared 2025 v 2024 Q1 clinical trials for phase 1 studies here: 2024 & 2025 FDA Phase 1 Submissions. I will go back and look at the modality vs NCE vs Sponsor origin. My guess is, despite there being 1022 studies initiated, the vast majority of them are NOT for NCE candidates in an oral fashion sponsored by a US/EU company.

Guitar practice daily is ongoing -- working towards three viable tunes!
