Final: Literary Characters
Match the Literary Characters with their books:
A. Miss Havisham 1. Adventures of Huck Finn
B. Miss Honey 2. Great Expectations
C. Miss Pinkerton 3. Vanity Fair
D. Miss Watson 4. Matilda
5. A Wrinkle in Time
Answer: A = 2, B = 4, C = 5, D = 1. We bet 8 points, to cover a 3rd place all in. We did not think 2nd place would pull this out. We had 3 of the 4 but got the Miss Pinkerton wrong as she was in Vanity Fair, not A Wrinkle in Time.
We ended up tied for 2nd, as the 2nd place team did end up getting it --- which meant a one question play off. We were to turn in the combined ages of the following people: Martha Reeves, Martha Stewart, Martha Plimpton, and Martha Raddatz. We totaled this up for a combined age of 283, but I quickly made a carry-over error and put 383! Answer was 290. We nailed it but lost due to an error! Hate to lose this way, but overall a great game and fun :)
